VISITORS’ COMMENT AT HALL OF INDUSTRIES
AUCKLAND’S DISCOVERY “The foundation of something | bigger.” | "An eye opener " “Just splendid.” “great.’’ j These are but a few of the comments which are rapidly filling the j visitors’ book at the newly-opened Hall of Industries i:i the Queen s Arcade. People from as far afield as Wanganui and Dunedin have added their praise to that of Auckland although this splendid show of N> Zealand-made goods lias been opent to the public for only two da vs. j , A conservative estimate of vester- ; dads attendance was 200. and this ; morning more than 100 visitors had viewed the exhibits. At lunch-time the j stream continued to grow. Already the results are making j themselves* known. “I did not know j that that particular paint was made in | Xew Zealand,” commented one man. who immediately followed up his dis•co very by going personally to the j manufacturers. “Yes, I can recommend that mat- ; tress: I’ve just bought one.” remarked t a woman visitor. • So the good work goes on. TSvery - j one has been astonished at the variety I and excellence of the Xew Zealand ! goods. Prices are eagerly inquired for Showcases, which are all full, wi ! be changed periodically by the firms which have rented them, and other innovations will be exploited as time goes on. The committee in charge of the Hall of Industries is a very busv body of men, and their proposals make the rooms the rendezvous of Auckland are founded on the solid foundation of truth and sincerity.
