“VICTIM OF MISFORTUNE”
SYMPATHY WITH BANKRUPT From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Today. Describing him as a victim of misfortune, creditors in the bankrupt estate of Alfred Harold Jones, labourer, Frankton, decided to facilitate his discharge, at a meeting' this morning. Bankrupt said he bought on terms two lorries for a milling contract at Okoroire two years ago, which he returned. when business failed. Since then he had been working in the bush. He bad nine children, five of whom were dependent on him. His schedule showed a deficiency of £l6. Creditors allowed bankrupt to retain his furniture and a cow, and agreed that the position was due entirely to misfortune.
