NO CHANGE OF NAME From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Tuesday. The Waikato Returned Soldiers’ Association decided at the annual meeting this evening that it was not desirable to change its name. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. R. D. McFarland: vicepresident, Mr. D. S. Clayton Greene; executive, Messrs. R. F. -Ward. T. Paterson, J. Blackhall, R. C. Cranwell, J. N. Baxter, T. Pile, N. S. Johnson, H. Tooms, H. C. M. Norris and Dr. F. D. Pinfold. A resolution was passed placing on record the association’s appreciation of the work of the Soldiers’ Rehabilitation Commission, and it was decided to urge the Government to give effect to the commission’s recommendations. The committee was empowered to form a local soldiers’ civil re-establish-ment league. At the reunion, Mr. R. F. Ward presided over an attendance of 120 members. General Sir George Richardson and Mr. J. A. Young, M.P., were among those present.
