The Tivoli Theatre, Karangahape Road, is showing “The Virganian,” a stirring tale of the early days in America, based on the classic novel of the same name. Gary Cooper is the star.The Regent Theatre, Epsom, is showing “Avalanche,” a Zane Grey story starring Jack Holt, and “His Private Life,’* a romantic comedy-drama, starring Adolphe Menjou. The Britannia Theatre, Three Lamps, is presenting two big talkies, “Dangerous Curves,” an exciting circus story starring Clara Bow and Richard Arlen, also “Melody Lane,” a tale of the struggles of a New York song composer, starring Eddie Leonard.
