A CLOSE SHAVE
MR. WATERS “SCRAPES HOME” POWER BOARD ELECTION The final count of votes cast in the Power Board election last Wednesday reveals a close contest for the last seat between Mr. F. M. Waters, the sitting member, and Mr. S. W. House. Mr. Waters had a majority of 31 at the first count. This lias been redticed to five. Though the figures are materially altered in many cases, there has been only one change in position. Th*' official return places Mr. R. G. Clark in fifth position, one vote ahead of Mr. J. Dempsey. At first Mr. Dempsey was credited with 3,338 votes and Mr. Clark with 3,321. Both these totals have been reduced. Mr. Dempsey’s to 3,277 and Mr. Clark’s to 3.278.
