KITCHEN EVENING

BRIDE-ELECT IS GUEST OF HONOUR Mesdames Terrill and Searby were hostesses at a very enjoyable social evening, given in honour of tlieir neice, Miss Elaine Jackson, at Avenue Road West, Otahuhu, on Saturday' evening. The function took the form of a kitchen gift evening, and the bride-to-be was the recipient of many varied and useful gifts from her large circle of friends. Cards, games and dancing were enjoyed, music was provided by Misses Terrill and Bentley and Messrs. Heald and Giles. Airs*. Terrill received the guests in a frock of old rose crepe de chine, trimmed, .with old gold lace. Airs. Searby was frocked in sapphire j.Hno georgette, with, insets of cream Miss E.
