PRIMARY REPRESENTATIVES PLAY GRAMMARS EDEN LARK MATCHES With the terrors of proficiency, scholarship and matriculation examinations relegated to the past, the cricketers of Auckland’s primary and secondary schools have turned their thoughts to cricket. The long anticipated annual matches, Auckland Primary School A representatives v. Auckland Grammar School junior representatives, and Auckland Primary Schools B representatives v. Mount Albert Grammar School junior representatives were commenced at Eden Park at 9.45 a.m. today. Weather conditions were hot and sultry for the games, and No. 3 and 3 wickets in first-class order. MT. ALBERT V. PRIMARY B Winning the toss, the Primary Schools B representatives sent Mount Albert Grammar juniors in to bat on No. 3 wicket. The first wicket fell for 21, but a bright 35 by Hook helped the total along, and six were eventually down for 103. At that stage M. Walker, a fast bowler, had captured four wickets. Mount Albert declared at lunch with seven wickets down for 195. Mackie (40) and Sims (36) were the not out men.
