FIRE DESTROYS HOUSE
OLD WOMAN’S NARROW ESCAPE From Our Own Correspondent NEW PLYMOUTH, Today. Fire destroyed a five-roomed house at Lepperton on Saturday night. The dwelling was occupied by an elderly woman, Mrs. McLeod, who awakened just in time to escape through a window before she was cut off by the flames. The house was owned by Mr. P. O. Openshaw, of Lepperton.
