PIGEON FLYING
NEW WAIHI CLUB f rom Our Own Correspondent WAIHI, Today. The first race of the newly-formed Waihi Pigeon Kacing Club was flown from Hamilton on Saturday in rough weather conditions. Mr. C. Hewson's “Flying King” clocked one hour ahead of the rest, its speed having been I,looyds a minute. Mr. K. Farrands's “Master Davon," and Mr. R. Turner’s “Ulrhan Dax,” with a speed of 496yds a minute, tied for second place, while Mr. -Hewson’s “Red Lion,” 495yds a minute, was third.
