OPOTIKI WEDDING

BRIDAL GOWN OF PALEST PINK P 0 ASTER—WEBB A very picturesque wedding was celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church, Opotiki, on Monday, when Florence May, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Webb, was married to Richard Curt Foaster, only son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Foaster, of Remuera, Auckland. The service, which was fully choral, was conducted by the Rev. J. E. Draper. Tho bride, entering the church on tho arm of her father, was charmingly l'rocked in palest pink silk lace and satin. The graceful drooping skirt, which was finished with a soft satin bow, with diamente buckle, fell from a dainty tight-fitting bodice, with long sleeves. Her veil of palest pink was arranged from a quaint little juliet cap and coronet of pearls and orange blossoms. She wore silver shoes. The bouquet was of pale pink roses, carnations and asparagus fern, tied with silver and pink ribbons. Miss Vera Webb, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid. She wore a graceful frock of delphinium blue silk

lace, long tight-fitting sleeves, and drooping skirt with large taffeta bow. Her hat was of gold bangkok straw with back-trimming of matching blue. A bouquet of delphiniums, pink roses and asparagus tied with gold streamers was carried. Mr. W. Turner ably assisted as best man.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, where 60 guests were entertained. The room \Yas attractively decorated with pink, blue and white, and the tables with iceland poppies and irises.

Mrs. Webb, mother of the bride, received her guests in a smart, black, corded-silk coat and black hat. Her bouquet was of purple sweet peas, with purple ribbons. Later, Mr. and Mrs. Foaster left for Rotorua, where the honeymoon will be spent. Mrs. Foaster chose a smart jumper suit of yellow, relieved with white, and a small hat to tone.
