A remarkable escape from serious injury was experienced during the week-end by a Maori employed on Mr. J. Scott’s farm at Mangateparu, Morrinsville. He was standing on the back of a haysweep. which was travelling at a fairly rapid rate, gathering material for ensilage, when the prongs of the implement struck a stone. The force of the impact hurled the driver forward, and he landeft among the horses’ hoofs, very much but otherwise none the worse his experience.
