CHANGE OF CURATES
ALL SAINTS’ PARISH Parishioners of All Saints’ Church Ponsonby, met on Monday evening to bid farewell to the Rev. H. W. Heaslip, curate of the parish, who is leaving’ and also to welcome the Rev. A. g! Dawson, who will replace Mr. Heaslip. On behalf of the parishioners, Mr. M. J. Bennett, people’s warden, presented Mr. Heaslip with a silver entree dish and a cheque. The Rev. W. W. Averill, vicar of All Saints’ Church] also spoke of the good fellowship which had existed between Mr. Heaslip and the people and expressed regret at losing him.
Both Mr. Averill and Mr. Bennett extended a welcome to Mr. Dawson, who suitably replied. The remainder of the evening was occupied with a musical programme.
