DEATH OF SCHOOLBOY
Evidence o£ identification was given when an inquest was opened before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., coroner, this morning concerning the death of Arthur Desmond Whitley, a schoolbov, aged 14.
The boy, who lived with his parents at 9 Vincent Avenue, Remuera, was accidentally struck by a cricket ball when playing in a paddock on Monday afternoon. He was struck on the side of the head, but managed to walk home, a distance of about a mile. He died yesterday. The inquest was adjourned.
