MINISTERS DEFEATED
LABOUR WINS SEATS IN VICTORIA
STATE OF THE PARTIES MELBOURNE, Monday. Further election results show that Mr. Frank Groves, Minister of Railways, and also Mr. R. Cuthbertson, Honorary Minister, were both defeated by Labour candidates. The fate of six other will remain in doubt until the last votes are counted. The returns to hand indicate that the probable state of parties in the new House will be as follows: Labour, 30. Nationalist, 19. Country Party, 9. Country Progressive Party, 4. Liberal, 2. Independent, 1.
