Party On Auckland F arm CHARMING DECORATIONS A jolly birthday party was held recently at the Auckland Stud Company’s farm in honour of Mrs. W. H. Patterson, junior. The evening, which was spent in card-playing and dancing, was a great success. The ballroom was charmingly decorated in tones of mauve and green, and many pretty frocks were noticed among the dancers. Mr. Sutich won the card trophy, and Mr. Cronk the competition prize. Mrs. W. H. Patterson received the guests in a frock of navy printed georgette over crepe de chine. AMONG THOSE PRESENT Mrs. Ay. H. Patterson, senr., black satin, with oriental trimming; Mrs. L. Walker, saxe-blue georgette, with fawn trimming; Mrs. E. Goodwin, black satin with lace trimming; Mrs. J. M. Smithir, printed crepe de chine. Mrs. C. A. Cramer, was in black silk marocain with gold lace; Mrs. Cunningham, black satin beaute, relieved with beige georgette; Mrs. Christiansen, beige crepe de chine, trimmed with navy; Mrs. Parline, black model frock and green bridge coat; Miss Mavis Ross, embossed satin and green shawl; Miss E. Sutherland, ivory french organdie relieved with black; Miss E. Green, flame velvet and lemon shawl; Miss Ha Dewing, royal blue georgette and lace; Miss A. Bragg, pink crepe de chine; Miss H. Sutherland, applegreen satin beaute; Miss Alma Clark, black satin frock; Miss Beryl Clark, cherry and gold shot taffeta; Miss Eve Lewing, lemon beaded georgette with shawl to match. Miss S. Ramsey, was in cyclamen georgette and lame; Miss S. Greenlees, cream hand-embroidered net and shawl of cream; Miss L. Patterson, liile crepe de chine, black taffeta bow’, white shawl; Miss J. Little, daffodil yellow’ georgette with pc>nted hem; Miss Winnie Roberts, petunia velvet with white Vandyke lace; Miss J. Walker, powder-blue beaded frock and gold shawl; Miss Gwen Bishop, w’hite rayon silk w r ith lemon shoulder posy.
