MRS. WALTER LINDRUM DIES IN HOSPITAL SMITH SUED FOR £5,000 (United P.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright) Reed. 9.55 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. Mrs. Walter Lindrum died in a private hospital last night. In consequence the billiards match between Willie Smith (England) and Lindrum has been abandoned. The scores stand: Lindrum 21,431 Smith 19,308 Lindrum made a superb break of 2,002. Thomas Harrison, a journalist, has issued a writ claiming £5,000 damages against Smith. The cause of action is not disclosed. Harrison has been granted leave to issue a write of ca re against Smith, on the ground that he is aj)prehensive that Smith will leave the jurisdiction of the court before the action comes to trial.
