In consequence the billiards match between Willie Smith (England) and Lindrum has been abandoned. The scores stand: Lindrum 21,431 Smith 19,308 Lindrum made a superb break of 2,002. Thomas Harrison, a journalist, has issued a writ claiming £5,000 damages against Smith. The cause of action is not disclosed.
