MANUREWA CLUB HOLDS ANNUAL FUNCTION GOOD ATTENDANCE OF MEMBERS A canopy of multi-coloured streamers made effective decorations at the Manurewa Parish Hall on Alonday evening, when the Manurewa Ladies* Hockey Club entertained a large number of guests at its annual dance. Visitors were present representing a number of neighbouring clubs. The musical programme was in the hands of Miss Marie Darby and Mr. J. Donaldson. Some pleasing extras were played by Miss Kitty Harris. Mr. Arthur Crispe was master of ceremonies. A Monte Carlo competition was won by Mr. Ralph Bennett and partner. Mayson, in a moss rose georgette frock and shawl to tone; Miss Iris Palmer, wearing a frock of prunella shot taffeta and silver lace; Miss Jean Smith, who wore vermilion crepe de chine, with diamente; Miss S. Pegler, whose frock was of printemps green frilled georgette, finished with shoulder spray; Miss Gaenor Maxwell, frocked in lichen green patterned crepe de chine; Miss H. Maxwell, who was in beige french lace over sunset satin: Miss A. Gibbs, in salmon pink georgette and lace: Miss S. Beaumont, frocked in flame crepe de chine, with diamente.
