TE KUITI NOTES
Advice has been received by Mr. W. J. Broadfoot, M.P., that the Minister of Education, the Hon. H. At more, has approved of a grant for the conveyance of about 20 children in the sparsely-populated Rangitoto district to th© district high school at Te Kuiti. On Wednesday evening members of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church choir met at the residence of Mr. C. M. Bathgate, to tender a farewell to Miss Ida Vercoe who. for a number of years, has been organist and a member of the choir, and who is shortly leaving Te Kuiti to reside in Hamilton. Miss Vercoe was the recipient of a handsome hand mirror from the choir members. In making the presentation Mr. Bathgate eulogised the good work of their departing guest in the choir's interests, and expressed regret at her departure. Mr. J. F. Vercoe responded on behalf of his daughter.
