French Club Soiree
Enjoyable Programme Arranged Air. P. -S. Ardern over a. large gathering of members at the French Club session last evening. Airs. F. G. Bilton, wearing black broche and satin beaute, was hostess, and Miss Elsie Jennings, in white satin and lame, arranged a most enjoyable programme. The club rooms were decorated with arum lilies and spring flowers. AI. Paul Serre, Consul for France, entertained the guests with anecdotes and humorous comment, and musical items were contributed by Mile. Jeanne Cliauvel, Air. W. Henderson, Air. N. Gallagher, and pupils of Aliss Ebba Gunman. A comedy, “Odette, Depeche-toi,” by Allies. Chauvel and Van Osselaer; a dance by Mile. Irene Long, and a song and dance, “Debonair,” by Aliss Pat Hurley and Messrs. Gunman and Dunn formed part of an appreciable programme. Aime. Marchal de Widts conducted the conversational class prior to the soiree.
