AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION’S APPEAL
The extent o£ the service which St. John Ambulance Association renders to the public in accident cases is reflected in the past year’s statistics. The ambulances removed 1,279 patients in this period, during which they have travelled 10,084 miles. Members of the association rendered first aid to 3,130 workers on the wharves who met with mishaps. The association is at present making an appeal for t'undj to enable this valuable work to be carried on efficiently, and those desirous of showing their, practical sympathy with the association are requested to forward donations to the honorary secretary at the ambulance station.
