CHURCH ANNIVERSARY
RICHMOND ROAD BAPTISTS With a largely attended reunion social the 21st anniversary celebrations of the Richmond Road Baptist Church have been brought to a close. The president of* the Auckland Auxiliary of the Hew Zealand Baptist Church, Mr. F. W. Gaze, presided. The assembly included three of the foundation members of the church, Mr. and Mrs. F. Porter and Mr. J. J. Walker. The mater church at Ponsonby was represented by the secretary, Mr. Kitchen, and others. Uuring the evening a number of greetings, accompanied in several cases by “birthday gifts,” were read by the chairman. The president of the Hew Zealand Baptist Union gave an interesting address. Enjoyable solos were given by Mrs. Hiddlestone and Miss Moses. The annual report stated that the present roll number was 61, of whom 20 lived out of the district. The treasurer reported a small credit balance, and a reduction of the debt on the church and manse of £2O during the year. The total indebtedness was £760, but thanks to the auxiliary loan circulating fund, the interest charges had been reduced to £24 a year.
