BOY HURT IN BEACH ROAD
LORRY GOES OVER LEGS Jumping off the back of a lorry on which he had been riding toward the city yesterday afternoon, Frank Brown, aged 13, was run over by another lorry and had his left leg broken and his head injured. The accident occurred in Beach Road, a short distance past the Maori Hostel. As he jumped off the boy was struck by the side of a lorry owned by Winstone, Ltd., which was going in the opposite direction. He fell to the road and one of the back wheels passed over his left leg. He was taken to hospital and this morning it was reported that his condition was not serious. The boy lives at No. 1 Garfield Street, Parnell.
