BRUSHES AND BROOMS
first-class articles made IN AUCKLAND FACTORY
Few Aucklanders are aware that brushes and brooms of first quality for use in all departments of life are being manufactured right in the heart of the city by the Kapai Corn Broom Company. Every process of manufacture is carried out by skilled workmen, from the unpacking of the bales of raw corn bristles, the sorting and cleaning, and the actual making of the broom through ail its stages right to the labelling of the completed article. Wherever possible New Zealand products are used, including timber for the handles, horsehair, twine, tacks and labels. The machinery and equipment installed is the latest obtainable in the world markets, and the whole plant is | unquestionably the most up-to-date south of the Line. The Kapai Corn Broom Company was established in 3 876 and is therefore the oldest brush factory in New Zealand. Its proud boast is that all ‘‘Kapai” goods are guaranteed to be of the highest quality—no second-class goods are supplied. Proof that this high standard is appreciated is seen in that the company is contractor to the Government departments, to the City Council and to many local bodies. In addition to the immense output of brooms and brushes for all domestic purposes, the company supplies brooms for the special local requirements of dairy factories and dairy farms.
