‘ Prettily decorated with a canopy of 1 red streamers. from \vhich hung countless gaily-decoraled balloons. and masses of feathery nikau fronds decking the walls. the Renown HallnPapatoetoe. presented a pleasing setting for a gala dance, held on Thursday even« ing under the auspices of the Papa—toetoe Cecil Rhodes Club. The proceeds are to be devoted to the Papatoetoe Earthquake Relief Fund. _ The Blue Bell Serenaders provided an enjoyable programme of dance music.
