PAEROA QUEEN CARNIVAL
A “Bring and Buy” stall in connection with the farmers’ queen was held at Tirohia, the effort being very successful. A maid of honour competition, for the purpose of selecting a maid of honour to attend at the crowning ceremony, is in full swing, the candidates being Aliss Valda Brown. ITikutaia: Aliss Joy Buchanan, Paeroa: Aliss Alma Harold, Netherton; Miss Agnes ! Morrison. Hikutaia: Miss Isabel Yeale. j Tirohia: and Aliss Jean Yowles, j Netherton. j Up to the present, the sum of £6OO j lias been raised.
