STRICT CENSORSHIP film, censors of Czechoslovakia have barred the German UFA production , “Hungarian Rhapsodyfrom the entire territory of the war-worn republic. This move has aroused much adverse comment , and it is pointed out that although the Hungarian Government lent its aid in the making of the picture, it is by no means intended for propaganda. Of the 2,0(j0 films submitted to the Czechoslovak censors in 1928 55 failed to be approved. The number of American films passed was SOS , while 17 iverc rejected. Next came the Germans, with 522 admitted and 29 turned down. Czechoslovak producers furnished 599 films , of which only one teas barred . France sent in 192 and had one kept out . Great Britain supplied 19 pictures and had two rejected, ivhile Soviet Russia had 11 passed and two banned. Austria sent SS films, all of which were accepted. The censors evidently pay much attention to safeguarding Czechoslovak youth , as 1.159 films were j classified as “not for young people TOM IN THOU BEE Of late, Tom Mix, King of Western stars, has played a leading part in more than one court action. Now a Sydney “Sun” cable from Los Angeles reports that a Grand Jury has indicted him on a charge of defrauding the Government of £20,000 income tax. I
