GOOD FIELDS ENGAGED AT ALEXANDRA PARK FIRST DAY ACCEPTORS The response trom owners for i the opening day of the Auckland Trotting Club’s winter fixture, which will bring the 1928-29 season to a close, is a most liberal one and assures lovers of the popular pastime of keen and exciting ! contests on Saturday, June 22. at * Alexandra Park. i As was only to be expected Southern J trainers are strongly represented, and | candidates outside the Auckland Province, who have had the benefit of recent racing, will play a prominent part in the carnival. The visitors, however, will not have things all there own way, as the cream of provincial pacers and trotters are billed to offer stout resistance to the invaders. Following is the acceptance list:
