UNWILLING PASSENGER
ULIMAROA PUTS BACK PLIGHT OF CHINAMAN The intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa had to return to Queen’s Wharf this morning when she had moved but a few feet away, in starting her trip to Sydney. She finally left her berth at 11.15 a.m. A Chinese, who had gone aboard to say farewell to some of his friends, had not noticed that the vessel was moving off, and great was his surprise and wild his gesticulations when he found that he was a passenger for Sydney. His plight was soon known, and the vessel put back to the wharf where he eagerly sprang ashore.
