PAPATOETOE WELFARE LEAGUE
The Papatoetoe Welfare League held its monthly meeting on Tuesday evening, Colonel S. J. E. Closey presiding. Messrs. Stalker and Kidd were appointed delegates to confer with the Queen Carnival Committee.
The question of providing: additional lights in the Town Board district was deferred till the next meeting. A letter was received from the town clerk, advising that a letter had been forwarded to Messrs. Cadbury and Frys, pointing out the advantages of Papatoetoe for the establishment of the proposed model settlement. A letter was received from Messrs. Cadbury and Frys, expressing appreciation of the invitation extended by the league to visit Papatoetoe, and stated that the question of a site for the model settlement is still under consideration. They'lntend to visit Papatoetoe before coining to a decision.
