PAPATOETOE ODDFELLOWS

INSTALLATION CEREMONY The largest number of Oddfellows seen in Papatoetoe attended the installation of officers of the Loyal Papatoetoe Lodge, M.TJ.1.0.0.F., which was held in the lodge rooms, Renown Hall, Papatoetoe, on Tuesday evening. Among the visitors were representatives from the Auckland district officers, Loyal Auckland Past Grands’ Lodge, Loyal Franklin Lodge, Loyal Manurewa Lodge, Loyal Papakura Lodge, Loyal Drury Lodge, Loyal Waipu Lodge, Loyal Ponsonby Lodge, Loyal St. Heliers Lodge, Loyal Wanganui Lodge, Loyal Te Kuiti Lodge. During the evening Bro. R. V. Closey, P.G., was presented with a" past-grand’s emblem and jewel, and Bro. R. Cryer with a past-grand’s emblem and collar. The officers for the ensuing term were installed by officers of the Auckland Past Grands’ Lodge, and Bro. W Pitcher, P.G., D.D.G.M. Bro. W. Matheson officiated as installing-mas-ter. The officers Installed were: NGBro. E. J. Hadley; V.G., Sister J. Leach: warden, Bro. N. Orr; E. S„ Bro. M. Maeauley; L.M., Bro. R*. V, Closey; guardian, Bro. I. Watkins;' conductors, Sister Q. Simpson and Bro. H. Smith; R.S.N.G., Bro. A. M. Cryer, P.G.; L.S.N.G., Sister R. V. Closey; R.S.V.G., Bro. Hector Coles, P.G.; L.S.V.G., Bro. D. Orr; financial secretary, Bro W. Leach, P.G.treasurer, Bro. H. C. Webster. A very successful function terminated with dancing and supper.
