TRAGIC DROWNINGS

FIVE OF ONE FAMILY DIE IN RIVER SAD STORY FROM AMERICA (United Service) NEW YORK, Monday. Five members of one family were drowned —four of them in succession in trying to save one another —in a river near Randolph, Vermont. Harry Boardman was swimming in the stream when he was caught in a current. Two of his sisters plunged in to his assistance. Then the father and mother tried to reach the girls and their brother in a boat, but it capsized. All the bodies were recovered within an hour.
