(From Our Own Correspondent) Airs. AV. Hallet, of AVaitoa, is spending a holiday in Xorth Auckland. Miss Eita Guy, of Hamilton, ha? left for a holiday in Wellington and the Wairarapa. Aliss Evelyn Buist has returned to her home in Hawera after some months’ visit to Hamilton. Airs. Allison, of Cambridge, is the guest of Airs. James Allison in Wanganui. She intends leaving shortly for a trip to Scotland. LYCEUM CLUB On Aionday evening the third annual meeting of the Lyceum Club was held in the Lounge. The actingpresident, Airs. F. B. Jolly, was in the. chair. The annual report showed that the club had had a most successful and happy year. The following officers were elected: Patroness, Mrs. 11. Douglas: president, Airs. F. B. Jolly; vice-presidents, Airs. Vere Chittv, Mr.-. T. Platt. Arrs. W. H. Hume. Mrs. J. Page: hon. treasurer. Airs. H. J. Greenslade; secretary. Alias E. Eggleston: new committee members, Mrs. AV. J. Stevens. Airs. R. B. Cranwell, Airs. E. H. O’Aleara. Airs. H. J. McAlillan, Alr3. F. Vickery; convenor of circle. Airs. AV. J. Stevens. Later an interetsing account of the work done by the National Council of Women was read by Airs. AV. J. Stevens. Discussion upon general club matters and supper ended a successful evening. MUSICAL CIRCLE MEETS On Tuesday afternoon the musical circle had a very interesting afternoon, when papers were read upon the works of Lizst and Brahms, and selections given by different members. There were present; Mrs. H. Ferguson (convenor), Airs. J. D. Smith, Mrs. Farquhar. Airs. C. Bennett. Airs. Hubert Hammond. Airs. G. B. Barnett, Airs. J. J. Standon. Mrs. Shirley, Mrs. Sinclair. Airs. A. English, Airs. H. J. McMullen. Airs. E. V. Stace, Miss J. Moule and Aliss Jones. ROTARY CLUB LUNCHEON On Aionday the Rotarians in Hamilton gave a luncheon party for their wives and friends. Air. C. L. McDiarmid, the retiring president, was host. The Rev. P. Paris gave a very humorous speech upon ‘'Woman, which, was greatly enjoyed by all his hearers. Air. Norman sang two songs and the usual Rotarian songs, together with the enjoyable luncheon, gave much pleasure to the guests. Those present included Airs. C. L. AlcDiarmid. Airs. F. House, Airs. J.
