FANCY DRESS BALL AT ONEHUNGA POPULAR GIRL CONTEST As a means of raisins' funds for the Roman Catholic parish, Onehunga, a popular girl competition is in progress. On Monday evening a most successful children’s and adults' fancy dress ball was held in the Orpheum Hall, Onehunga, in support of one of the candidates, Miss A. Henclian. There was a large attendance. Many original fancy costumes were worn. These were judged by Mrs. TV. C. Coldicutt, ex-Mayoress of Onehunga. The early part of the evening was devoted to the children, who, in fancy costumes, performed the Sir Roger de Coverley and a variety of exhibition dances given by the pupils of Miss McGregor. A graceful minuet was danced by eight little girls, who, in their oldworld costumes, presented a very pretty picture. During the evening, the candidate, Miss Henehan, was the recipient of two beautiful bouquets presented by little Gwen Knaggs and Master Gerald Collins. Among those in fancy costumes were:—Miss TWlson, Spanish dancer; Miss D. Wade, The Sun Newspaper; Miss Iv. Collins, Victorian lady; Miss M. Caddy, gipsy girl; Miss Over, a sparrow; Miss G.
