THREE WIN “TICKETS”
SUCCESSFUL AIR PILOTS TESTS AT MARLBOROUGH Press Association BLENHEIM, Today. Major T. M. Wilkes, Director of j Air Services, has just completed a I three days’ test of a batch _ of the Marlborough Aero Club s trainees for civil pilots’ licences. There were seven candidates and three, Messrs. F. R. Dix, R. Grigg, and H. H. Vavasour, were successful. In the other four cases the issue of certificates was deferred until the next examination in about three weeks’ time. . These tests were the first of their kind held in the Dominion, and were a good deal more stringent than had been anticipated. The three successful pilots are the first Aero Club members in New Zealand to secure their tickets.
