TRANSFERRED TO WARKWORTH
POPULAR HUNTLY CONSTABLE (From Our Oxen Correspondent) HUNTLY, Today. Constable Geo. R. Ft. Robertson, of Huntly, has been promoted to have charge of the Warkworth Police Station. In a recent sheep-stealing case at the Auckland Supreme Court Constable Robertson was called before the judge and complimented on his handling of the case. General • expressions of pleasure at the new appointment have been made in the mining town, and though a very “cosmopolitan clientele” has to be dealt with, Constable Robertson has always characterised his official duties with impartiality and tact.
