In the Market Place
APPLES FIRM BANANAS SELL WELL All lines of apples continue to be on a firm market and prices are satisfactory to suppliers. One supplier who sent in a line of Jupps had the fruit snapped up quickly by the buyers. Pears are selling well. THE tone of the market for bananas is still sound, and. if anything, there is a rising tendency. Original oranges are not now being offered. Australian grapes have gone off the market, but another shipment is expected. The season for local potatoes is being prolonged, but supplies are falling off rapidly.
