MISS BOOTH INJURED
SERIOUSLY ILL AFTER MOTOR ACCIDENT LEADING SALVATIONIST (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) NEW YORK, Sunday. Miss Evangeline Booth, the commander of the Salvation Army in the United States, is seriously ill as the result of a motor accident at Harisdale.. New York State. She is suffering from concussion of the brain and other injuries. Miss Booth is the fourth daughter of General William Booth, the founder of the Salvation Army. Early in life she worked in London, and later went to Canada and the United States, where since 1904 she has been National Commander.
