CHARGED BY ELEPHANTS
TRAMPER HAS TWO TEETH BROKEN WALK THROUGH AFRICA (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11 a.m. CAPETOWN, Sunday. Mr. Monson, a West Australian journalist, has arrived at Nairobi on his walk from Capetown to Cairo. He covered 2,000 miles in eight and a-hal£ months. An accountant, Mr. Wilson, joined Mr. Monson in the Northern Transvaal. Both are fit. They were charged by rogue elephants in Kenya. Mr. Monson was knocked down, and two teeth were broken. Strangely enough, the elephants desisted from further attack.
