Kawau Ruler’s Evening of Student Mirth

Varsity Folk Celebrate Theatrical Season CLICK CLACK PARTY After the concluding performance of the “King of KaWau” last evening, the students who had taken part in the production and many of their friends adjourned to the Click Clack Cabaret, where they made merry until the not so small hours of the morning. A supper had been set for the members of the cast, and after this was over speeches were the order of the evening. Mr. J. A. S. Coppard, producer of the “King of Kawau,” was presented by Mr. Postlewaight, on behalf, of the students, with a fountain pen and Eversliarp pencil, and Miss Freda Gaudin, who played the leading part, was given a silver bowl. After more speeches and much cheering the students danced to the bright music provided by Clyde Howley’s orchestra. aph Among those who were present were:— Mrs. J. A. S. Miss Noel Guy, who wore cloth of silver and cameo pink georgette. Miss B. Suter, whose gown of silver lace was worn over flesh pink chiffon. Miss Freda Kenny, in peach coloured taffeta. Miss M. Stehr, wearing phlox pink satin beaute, with georgette frills. Miss Garrett, in ombre green ring velvet. Miss Una Platt, who wore ivory brocaded satin. Miss Joan Robertson, in a frock of royal blue georgette. Miss Ray Murphy, whose frock of ivory georgette was relieved with silver. Miss P. McCallum, in flesh pink georgette. Miss V. Patterson, whose frock of apricot georgette was mounted on silver lame. Miss Helen Gaze, who wore a bouffant frock of ivory taffeta.
