EIGHT ESTATES ACQUIRED
Press Association NELSON, Friday. The Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, stated thj* evening that he hah been advised that eight properties, on which 16 persons were living, hah been acquired by the Government and would be subdivided. Those properties would then support 40 settlers. In that way the Government intended to put more people on the land, increase production and reduce unemployment.
