Palethorpe and Parkes, when farm sections and a beautiful country home were offered. The principal lot consisted of a modern home and 111 acres, situated on H»ll Road, opposite the residences of D. There was a good attendance of active bidders, and the offerings opened at £3,000, rising in bids of £250 to £3,500, thereafter in bids of £IOO to £4,100 at which price it was withdrawn from vale. There was considerable inquiry for subdivisions of 188 acres of farm land in the same district—Manurewa.
