PONY-RACING IN BRITAIN
LONDON'S LATEST THRILL INTRODUCED SWIFT POPULARITY SEEN (United Service) Reed. 11 a.ru. LONDON. Sunday. Pony-racing is London's newest thrill. It was introduced today on the well turfed, attractively-situated Northold Park course at Harrow. costing £250,000, under the auspices of the Pony Turf Club, of which Lord Lascelles and the Karl of Carnarvon arc stewards. The ponies are limited to 15 hands. Six races constitute the programme. Admission to the course is Is 6d, and to the stands 4s 6d. There are five stands, parking accommodation for 0,000 cars, stabling for 100 ponies. The bookmakers anticipate a swift popularity for the new sport.
