MINING NEWS WAIOMO SULPHIDE CORPORATION. —The manager reports: The north drive on the Zeelian reef, at No. 5 level, has been extended feetl in payable ore. The reef is four feel. wide. The drive is now under the main range at a depth of about 600 feet. Preparations are being made to rise through the chute of high grade ore to connect with No. 2 level and make accessible a large tonnage of milling ore. The construction of the milling and concentrating plant has been resumed and should be completed by August next. A Tangye suction gas plant, to drive an air-compressor capable of operating four rock-drills, simultaneously, has been purchased, and is now being installed. This plant will accelerate the development of blocks in preparation for milling.
