SOUTHERN CROSS FLIGHT
INQUIRY IS ADJOURNED FOR TWO DAYS STILL MORE LITIGATION SYDNEY, Tuesday. The inquiry into the circumstances connected with the forced landing of the Southern Cross and the deaths of Lieutenant Keith Anderson and Mr. R. S. Hitchcock was opened today and adjourned until Thursday. Counsel for Anderson’s mother sought an adjournment for two weeks. Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith and Flight-Lieutenant Ulm and the other members of the crew of the Southern Cross also joined in the application for an adjournment. Their grounds were that they were concerned in certain l igation which had reached a stage when declarations had to be made.
