SCHOOL BUS SERVICES
THREE SHOWING LOSS CONTINUE AT PRESENT In reply to a request by Mr. F, S. Morton, a member of the Auckland Transport Board, for Information regarding certain bus services for the convenience of school children, yet run at a loss, the transport manager, Mr. A. E. Ford, reported yesterday that there was no reason for continuing the trips except that they were giving service. The service from Mount Eden terminus to St. Cuthbert’s College was losing £2l a year, that from Mount Roskill School to Onehunga Technical School on Thursdays and Fridays £93 12s. and the trip from Mount Eden terminus to Mount Roskill School £4B It was decided that the services be continued for three months at half the adult fare, the manager then to report.
