TE AWAMUTU ORPHANS

Judging by the enthusiasm displayed by members of the Te Awamutu Orphans’ Club the seventh session should bo a success. Nearly 100 members 1 were present at the Town Hall for the opening night. Auckland, Hamilton and Cambridge Clubs were represented. Bro. S. S. Preston presided. An excellent concert programme was 1 provided, Bros. Young (Cambridge), | Jones and Grant (Hamilton), and W. Mills contributing vocal items, Bro. A. McMahon euphonium solos. Mr. W. J. Broadfoot, M.P., expressed pleasure at being able to attend such an enjoyable meeting, and hoped that the club would continue to prosper. The orchestra, under the baton of Fro. Mayo, contributed several selec- i tions.
