REVALUATION OF LANDS

APPLICATIONS FROM HENDERSON FARMERS Many applications were received at last evening’s meeting of the Henderson Town Board for the revaluation of farm lands within the town area. It was decided to hold a special meeting to consider these. Mr. E. G. Rowntree presided over the meeting in the absence of Mr. W. R. Leighton. A letter was received from the Post and Telegraph Department accepting the board’s offer to repair the damage done to footpaths by the laying of telephone cables at a cost of 9s (>d a chain. Messrs. Hart, Forson-Stewart, Rowntreo and Pratt were appointed to act as representatives of the board to meet the Director of Town Planning on May 22. There was much discussion on the question of permitting pigs to be kept within the town area, and it was finally decided that a by-law should be framed before any further permits were issued.
