NEW WAITEMATA CLUB

ATHENIANS AT TAKAPUNA The formation of an organisation to be known as the Waitemata Athenian Club was decided upon by an enthusiastic meeting held at Takapuna last evening. Mr. Bryce Hart presided. The aims and objectives of the kindred club in Auckland were outlined by Mr. Percy Free, a past president of that society. The rules and regulations of the older club were adopted in toto and preliminary arrangements made for the immediate functioning of the club. The club’s first officers will be: Patron, Mr. Percy Free: president, Mr. Bryce Hart; vice-president, Mr. E. A. Wilson; secretary, Mr. C. R. Pettit; treasurer, Mr. A. Tysoe; committee, Mesdames B. Kissen, L. J. Minogue and R. Bridgeman and Messrs. H. Lorimer and C. Robinson: stewards, Mr. A. Watt and Mrs. E. A. Wilson. An invitation to attend the function of the Auckland Athenian Club on Saturday, April 27. was extended by Mr. P. Free.
