COUNTRY BURGLARIES
YOUNG MAN FOR SENTENCE (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Wednesday. Three charges of burglary and theft were admitted by Leslie Arthur Marsh, aged 21. an emigrant from England, before Messrs. W. F. Mason and J. McKinnon, J.P.’s, in the Hamilton Magistrate’s Court to-day. Evidence was given that on March 27 accused entered the house of Ernest William Jordan, at Tirau, and stole money and jewellery to the value of £46 7s. Accused admitted entering the house of Mrs. Catherine Wade, at Hinuera, on April 6 and stealing money unci jewellery to the value of £3O ISs 6d and also entering the shop of Francis Rose, at Okoroire. on November 29 and stealing cigarettes and other goods to the value of £4 2s sd. Accused was also charged with committing a breach of his probation order. He pleaded guilty to all charges and was committed to the Supreme Court at Auckland for sentence.
