VAGRANT’S FRAUDS
Roy Francis, aged 35, was charged at Blenheim with vagrancy, and that, at Christchurch, on December 24, he imposed on Charles John Morrison by falsely representing himself as a brass-plate cutter, and obtained £2, for which he agreed to cut the firm s name on a plate. This he failed to do Accused pleaded guilty to the first charge and was sentenced to j seven days’ imprisonment. j On the second charge accused ad- j vised the police that he would plead guiltv, but the police are awaiting in- j struc’tions from Christchurch, and re-1 manded him until April 24.
